Overview

QR Scanner Pro ("the App") is developed and maintained by Dustin Koopmans (trading as Koopware). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.

Data Collection

The App collects minimal data:

• Camera access: Used solely for scanning QR codes and barcodes. Camera data is processed on-device and never uploaded to any server.
• Scan history: All scan history is stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to your scan history and it is never uploaded to any server.
• App preferences: Your theme choice and settings are stored locally on your device.
• Advertising data: Our free version displays a small, non-intrusive banner advertisement. Our advertising partners may collect anonymous device identifiers (Advertising ID, Device ID) to serve relevant ads.

Permissions

QR Scanner Pro requests camera access solely for QR code and barcode scanning. All image processing happens locally on your device. No photos or camera data are stored, transmitted, or shared with any third party. Camera access is optional — the App functions without it but scanning features will be unavailable.

Data Storage

All user data (scan history, generated QR codes, settings, and preferences) is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers that store your personal data.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Start.io (StartApp): For displaying advertisements. Start.io may collect device identifiers (Advertising ID) and device information for ad serving purposes. Start.io Privacy Policy

Children's Privacy

The App is a general audience utility application. It is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App does not contain any child-directed content, characters, or activities.

Your Rights

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by:

• Using the "Clear History" option within the App
• Clearing the app's data in your device settings to reset all preferences
• Uninstalling the app to remove all associated data

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
